Run-Ups

Run Ups are simply gatherings or meetings where we meet to run. Meet up with us for one of our regularly scheduled runs throughout the week or on a Saturday or both! Whether you’re training for your first 5k, 10k, half or full-marathon, we’ve got you covered. No matter your pace, we help you finish the race. We just want to help you achieve your goal.

 

WHO?

walkers, woggers, runners or joggers

 

WHEN?

Run schedules change with the season and are determined by the week's run captain. Runs are either 7:00 a.m. or 8:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

 

WHERE?

See above. Kentwood M6 and Breton & 28th Street locations.

 

WHY?

  • Running/walking with a group provides extra motivation to run/walk

  • Running/walking with a group is safer

  • We encourage a fit and active lifestyle for moms by moms

  • We know the benefits running/walking with a group can have on weightloss

  • We meet year round in all kinds of weather

  • Plan and attend trips to races with the people you'll meet wihtout the kids because you deserve it

  • We understand the hectic life of moms, single parents, and women so we walk, cycle, run and weight-lift

  •      (novice and seasoned)

  • Pick up training tips from veteran runners, walkers and women who started out just like you

  • We understand why you want to run or walk!

  • We have fun doing this and we enjoy sharing it with others like us

  • Because we know if the mom is healthy the house is helathy

  • We want to reduce the statistics of obese and unhealthy women of color 

  • We want to change many lives one step at a time!

There are two scheduled orientation sessions. One in the fall and one in the Winter. Please check local events

for specific dates and times.
